The St. Petersburg International Economic Forum 2021

The St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) is a unique event in the world of business and economics. SPIEF has been held since 1997, and since 2006, it has been held under the auspices of the President of the Russian Federation, who has also attended each event.

Over the last 24 years, the Forum has become a leading global platform for members of the business community to meet and discuss the key economic issues facing Russia, emerging markets, and the world as a whole.

The 24th St. Petersburg International Economic Forum is set to take place on 2–5 June 2021. As in previous years, the business programme will focus on the global and Russian economies, social issues, and technological development.

The Forum will be held in strict accordance with health and safety measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19, carefully drawn up by the Organizing Committee in line with the WHO recommendations. SPIEF 2021 will provide a full range of services to enable participants to effectively nurture and expand their business network and enjoy safe, productive participation, including in an enriching cultural and sporting programme.

Dear football fans, we have great news!

Due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) has decided to postpone the UEFA EURO 2020™ matches by a year. The UEFA EURO 2020™ matches will take place between 11 June and 11 July 2021. The previously issued FAN IDs will not be valid for attending UEFA EURO 2020™ matches, as well as for entering and leaving the Russian Federation in 2021.

Since October 1, 2019 citizens of certain foreign countries may arrange through a special website of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs http://electronic-visa.kdmid.ru single-entry Business, Humanitarian and Tourist Visas in the form of an electronic document (electronic visa, e-visa) to visit the territory of the city of Saint Petersburg and the Leningrad region.

Opinion of Maria Zakharova!

There were numerous reports saying that Spiegel and Süddeutsche Zeitung received a video recording of someone posing as a niece of a Russian oligarch with an Austrian politician. This video was acquired from a company that bought the recording for a reported amount of 600,000 euros. Finally, the whole story turned out to be a planned provocation featuring a Bosnian student who was hired for a generous sum of money. Surely, the German journalists behind this fake story have to explain themselves, to say the least. How come they were the ones who got their hands on this piece of fake information that they put in the spotlight, having added more misinformation?

Dubai, United Arab Emirates | 21 May 2019: The World Food Programme welcomes the Russian Federation’s donation of 97 KAMAZ trucks and 30 trailers, which will greatly help enhance its transport capacity. Today’s handover marks another important milestone in the historic and long-lasting partnership between the Russian Federation and WFP in the area of logistical technologies. This recent donation will contribute to boosting the operational performance of three of WFP Regional Fleet Hubs, namely in the UAE, Ghana and Uganda.
