7-9 January 2016 under the patronage of the Consulate General the First Dubai Festival of Caucasian Dance will be held as part of Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF - 2016). The festival is organized by the Alpha Events company. The gala concert will feature bands such as the State Song and Dance Ensemble "Dagestan", State Dance Ensemble of the Republic of Karachay-Cherkessia "Elbrus" and the Moscow dance group "Ansar".

On October 14, 2015 in Dubai Kirill Dmitriev, General Director of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) held a meeting with Sultan Ahmed Bin Sulayem, Chairman of DP World. The meeting was attended by Gocha Buachidze, Consul General of the Russian Federation in Dubai and Jamal Majid Bin Thaniah, Vice president of DP World. The parties discussed a number of practical issues of further developing the bilateral cooperation, as well as key points agreed at the talks of Sultan Ahmed Bin Sulayem with Vladimir Putin, President of the Russian Federation in Vladivostok on September 3-5, 2015.

On Sunday, October 11,2015 Russian President Vladimir Putin met with Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Zayed al-Nahyan to talk about the situation in the region, focusing on Syria and recent terrorist acts in Turkey. They also discussed some practical aspects of bilateral relations and prospects for further development of cooperation in various fields.
